Add a Header or Footer to Every Page of a PDF

Stamp a consistent header or footer across every page of a PDF — your company name on the left, a title in the center, page numbers on the right. WT-PDF gives you three slots in each of the top and bottom margins, with page-number tokens and customizable color.

Open the editor

How it works

  1. Open wt-pdf.com and drop in the PDF.
  2. Click the H/F button in the toolbar.
  3. Fill in the left/center/right slots. Use {page} and {total} for page numbers (e.g., "Page {page} of {total}").
  4. Choose Header or Footer, set size/margin/color, and Apply.

Page-number tokens

{page} expands to the current page number; {total} expands to the total page count. So "Page {page} of {total}" renders as "Page 3 of 27" on page 3.

Skip the first page

Cover pages usually shouldn't have a header. Toggle "Skip first page" to exclude page 1.

FAQ

Can I have different headers on different pages?

Currently the header/footer applies to all pages (optionally skipping the first). For per-section headers, split into multiple files, stamp each, then merge.

Can I use different fonts?

Current version uses Helvetica. Font family selection is coming in a future update.

Is this the same as adding a page number?

Page numbers are a simpler single-purpose tool with position/format options. Header/Footer gives you three slots per side for more flexible layouts.
